Exploring Gunung Datuk

September, 24, 2011

My first time hiking in Gunung Datuk was 21 years back during my secondary school camping activity and it was my first hiking experience. Wanted to hike this mountain again for number of years and finally I managed to do it this round.

It was a last minute planned journey and I did not prepare any hiking accessories like hiking shoe, trekking poles etc. We met in the base camp at 7:15 a.m. register and pay RM 5.00 per headcount for climbing.

It took us two hours to reach the summit, spent an hour admiring the view and another hour to reach the base camp again.  Going up was little bit tough to me as I was not been exercise for quite some times. Coming back was easier on the heart but hard work for my leg muscles.
