Hi Alex, will send it to you shortly.
ReplyDeleteHi sir, can you please share 4x4 contact number?
DeleteHi Wan, you could contact Mr. Kumar 0194053660 for the 4x4 arrangement in Cameron Highland.
DeleteHi sir is that u still have the contact number for 4x4?
DeleteI have sent you the contact.
DeleteHi mcHiker,
ReplyDeleteMy friends and I plan to hike Gunung Suku. We need your advice.
1) Is the trail up this mountain clear and well-marked? Low possibility of getting lost?
2) Are there many side-trails or junctions along the trail that may mislead us?
3) Some hikers parked their cars at the trail head, do you think it is safe to do so?
4) How much does the 4x4 transport from Kg Raja cost? How many people can each vehicle accommodate?
5) Do you have any specific advice for us when hiking this mountain?
We look forward to receiving your reply soon. Thank you very much.
Hi Peng Aun,
DeleteThe trail up to G. Suku is clear and straight forward, if I am not mistaken, there are no side-trails or junctions along the way until the false peak...Remember to turn left while you are in the T junction. To be safe, I would advise you park you car at Temple Kg. Raja and arrange with 4x4 pick up. They charge per head count about RM 20+ (depends on area distance and No. of head court). Normally the 4x4 could allocate up to 10~12 head count.
Enjoy your trip!
Hi mcHiker,
DeleteThank you very much for your prompt and informative reply. I follow your blog as it is very helpful to fellow hikers like me looking for new hills and mountains to climb. Please continue to write and keep up your good work. Looking forward to your next posting. Thanks again and happy hiking!
Hi mchiker,
ReplyDeleteI am a singaporean student and I just attempted G. Suku a few days ago on 15th Dec 2014, I tried following the marking up the trail and to my dismay I didnt see any campsite near the summit and we were forced to pitch a tent on an extremely compact flat space near the top (3x2m area size).
I would like to know where is the last campsite where it can accommodate about 15 people.
Hi Lin,
DeleteAre you referring to G. Suku? I didn't mention about campsite near G. Suku Summit before.

DeleteHi yes, I was referring to Gunung Suku, there are 2 campsite am I right, one near the halfway point, the other near the summit at ~1740m
DeleteYou mentioned about a T junction just before the false summit, turn left to summit, turn right to camp site. I was wondering where is the T junction.

ReplyDeleteGuide is not compulsory. The trail is clear enough.
DeleteLatest information you may apply permit in order to hike any mountain in Pahang, Perak & Johor. As far as I know, they is no officer check at the entrance.
Hello, thank you for sharing this piece.
ReplyDeleteMe and my friends are planning for a hike to Suku during Christmas.
Will it be okay if we drive to the starting point instead of getting a 4x4 ? Your advice is highly appreciated.
Thank you! :)
Hi Samantha,
DeleteYou could park you car at starting point but take risk. My friend did that before as well.
Hello, thanks for all the information :)
