Getting there

• Go on the North-South Expressway, take the Taiping exit out 
• Follow the signs to Taiping after the toll
• From Taiping town head towards the lake gardens
• There are signs showing the way to Bukit Larut(Maxwell Hill)

Bukit Larut is one of the good training ground for those who want to climb Mount Kinabalu.  The road up twist and turns through tropical virgin jungle, and fresh green fragrance and cool air greeting you as you ascend. At the summit you are treated to a spectacular view of the West Coast of the peninsula. On a clear day, it is possible to view the sweeping coastline stretching from Pangkor Island to Penang.
