A friend of mine was organized the trip but he didn't turn up on time, so three of us continue with the plan. The best part of the trip was able to meet back the group of hikers again on Nuang summit where they hiked from Janda Baik. This was the second times meeting them after December 2012, again we hiked from Pangsoon and they hiked from Janda Baik. Unfortunately didn't get their contacts again.

DeleteHi McHiker,
ReplyDeleteI would like to know if we need permit to hike from Jabatan Perhutanan to hike Gunung Nuang. Really appreciate your info.
Hi Hadyan,
DeleteNo permit required. Just register at the car park and pay RM 1.00 / person
Thank you for the information sir! You have good future hikes anywhere u go sir!
DeleteHi mcHiker,
ReplyDeleteMy friend and I are planning to go this coming February. Do you have any suggestions on how we can reach any of the starting point say from KL via public transport? Thanks for the info...
Btw, we will be coming from JB and will take bus to KL so any suggestions were to stop before KL would be very helpful.
Thanks!
Hi Von Dole,
DeleteYou could take the RapidKL bus service Route U450 from Puduraya Bus station (Hub Lebuh Pudu) to SRK Batu 9, Jalan Hulu Langat. From there you could either take Taxi Service or RapidKL bus service Route T406 to TNB Pangsun (End Route).
From there walk about 10 minutes to Nuang starting point.
You could refer https://goo.gl/maps/YkYWJ99HtLr from the Google map but I think the bus route number has changed as refer to RapidKL bus Service website
http://www.myrapid.com.my/bus/rapidkl/cheras-t406
Hope my info would help.
This is indeed very helpful info mcHiker! I really thought we can only reach the starting point via private vehicle / taxi. I guess the same route applies going back?
DeleteThank you again and Happy CNY ahead.
