Exploring Gunung Hitam

October, 15 2022

Gunung Hitam located in Kampung Ulu Liu near by Gabai waterfall - Hulu Langat with the height of 1220 meter a.s.l.  This mountain was in my hiking list for long time (almost 10 years) and finally on my bucket list.

The outside private car park just opposite Ikan Bakar Sri Nikat, about 1.5 KM away from the trail head. There was a small parking area inside recommended for 4x4. The trail head just opposite the parking area after a stream crossing.

Clear track with ribbon marking all the way, after stream crossing follow the small path to bamboo forest. After crossing a small stream not far from the junction to waterfall, The trail start ascends all the way up to 1st and 2nd view point with the reward of a nice KL view.  The second half of the journey continue ascend to all the way to few big boulders, the last section of the path was a bit muddy before reaching to the peak.
