Bukit Repin - Janda Baik, Pahang

The Trek

  • Height : 4398 feets ( 1341 meters)
  • Location : Janda Baik (Pahang)
  • Usually it takes 2 1/2 hour to 3 hours ascent
  • Distance : about 5.1 KM
  • GPS Coordinate : N3.28136 E101.85239

Getting there

  • From Genting Sempah R&R towards Janda Baik (Route No. 68)
  • Turn right and follow Route No. C1
  • You would pass by Kampung Ulu Cheringin
  • The trail head near by "Pondok Impian" (N3.30533 E101.87541)

 Exploring Bukit Repin

September, 08 2013
The trail could defined into 3 difference stages. First 30 minutes trail with a leisure walk through some farmland and cross a few small streams until you reach the Hut. Stage 2 with 30 minutes jungle trekking until the last stream. Last part of the trail is very steep and all the way up.

    hi mr mchiker ,

    is there any tagging on the trail ?
    the starting point are not the same with nuang via janda baik right ?

      Hi Firdous,
      The starting point is near by but not the same as Nuang via Janda Baik. The with ribbon marker.

    I love your blog. am a newbie to hiking so your posts helps a lot. one question, when u hike in places that requires u to crosses rivers, what kind of footwear do you normally use? i am assuming one take off their regular hiking shoes before they cross streams....

      Hi,

      I used to discussed with my wife on the similar issue while we just started the activity...

      - take off the shoes
      - wear kampung adidas
      - get a pair of waterproof hiking shoes

      end up...learn the skill of crossing the streams or just go for it

    Just came back from bukit Repin. The trail condition is very bad. Fallen trees, leeches, mosquito. My advise: don't climb.
