The permit is RM 5.00 per head court, you could apply with above contact given and check with them on guide contact as well.
DeleteYou can either camp or rent a chalet in Hutan Lipur Cheromong as well. That's what we did before the day before start hiking.
Always always enjoy reading your blog. This is one of my to-do-ljst.

ReplyDeleteHi, the journey you shared was very awesome! I plan to follow your path tentative in mid of this year.
ReplyDeleteI checked your garmin's page, but it doesn't allow me to download the GPX file. Is there any way to get the GPX file? I want to use it on my GPS watch too.
Thanks for your kind sharing. Cheers!
wahco
Hi Wahco,
DeleteYou could register a free account in Garmin Connect page to download the GPX or email to me -mailbox.mchiker@gmail.com
Hi, I created a garmin account and added you. I used Suunto watch, not very familiar with garmin. It seems that Garmin's connect is much more complicated than Suunto's movecount.
DeleteWahco
Hi McHiker, very awesome journey. Is it possible to complete the journey uphill and downhill for 2D1N. Due to my tight schedule of work.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Azroy Hussein
Hi Azroy,
DeleteI believe it can be done in 2D1N, just stay one night in Langsir and back to carpark on day2. Plenty of time.
But I would advise you spend more time on this trip, not because of the difficult of the trail for long day hike but beauty and relax trip you will love it.
Hello Mchiker,
ReplyDeleteI'm always feel fascinating by read your blog, all your hike were amazing, with details information and photo provided, that's really helps lots of the newbie or hikers who haven't been to that place.
I download the GPS Trail log from you blog, however it show empty/no data in my phone app as well as garmin basecamp software.
I was wondering do you mind to share your CBL GPS Log file to me? As I plan to go there.
I did email you at mailbox.mchiker@gmail.com , not sure if you received it ?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Leong

I am wandering why don't have..remember I saw that. Anyway, you could setup a tent at the car park / inside the night before.

Thanks for the sharing, really appreciate that. According to the reply from hutan lipur CBL, from March 2016 onwards, all the hiking activities in CBL required the accompany from jungle guide (malim) assigned by the national park. One guide charge Rm500 per day!

Hi, i am just looking on this blog in 2017. I would be appreciate if anyone can tell if the guide is compulsory in 2017? RM500 per day is really really expensive, even expensive than the guide for tahan hike for 7 days!
DeleteHi McHiker, i read your experience and your amazing journey. Me and my friend are interested to follow your track but we are beginner and never climb mountain before. Can you give us some advice on how to overnight at wilderness and what to prepare before hiking?. Do we need a guide or we just can go ourselves? thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Albertus Alexander,
DeleteI have emailed you some information about it.
Hi McHiker. Thank you for sharing your experience... My friends and I planned to hike CBL this november.. would you mind to share some advise on how to overnight at wilderness and what to prepare before hiking?. Do we need a guide or we just can go ourselves?
ReplyDelete.
I Plan to follow your track
Hi Awan,
DeleteHonestly, Although CBL is not much of ascent but then you might carry with heavy load backpack especially on the Day one (Car Park - Camp Balak) and (Camp Sungai Y to Berembun Summit). Therefore, training is still required.
Sharing weight with your teammate (tent / stove & gas / food etc) and get your checklist ready on what to bring.
Permit is require but guide I'm not too sure with the new requirement. You may double confirm with "Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Terengganu" while you apply the permit.
Awesome... congratulations Mr McHiker n frens...
ReplyDeleteI plan to get there with my fit family members... ur article is really inspiring me... keep in my list 1st.. :D
