Exploring Trans Naning

December, 16 2018

Trans Naning comes with 7 summits in one goal, either start from Gunung Datuk car park or Gunung Tampin (Signboard 90) covered about 21 KM distance.

My first visit to Gunung Datuk, Rembau and Gagak was in 2013. I noticed that the signboard of Gagak peak no longer there during my last visit few mouths ago. The actual Gagak peak is further down the trail towards Trans Naning.

We parked our car in Gunung Datuk and rented a van transit us to Gunung Tampin signboard 90. The trail from starting point till Gunung Tampin Selatan, Utara clear with marking. Gunung Tampin Utara till Puncak 705 and descent down to river side still within our estimated time.

After 40 minutes rest from river side, walked in the river for 10~15 minutes and over shoot the entrance towards Kem Ultra. We reached to a rubber estate and start searching for the trail, we followed the ribbon marking about 30 minutes and noticed that it was wrong direction and make a U-turn back to the rubber estate. Rest for a while and back to the river to find the correct path.

Continue our journey from Kem Ultra towards Puncak 701, again reached to Y junction both sites with marking. We tried on the left path but noticed that the trail was not so clear, so decided to U-turn back and followed the right path which leading us to Puncak 701.

All the way ascent till Puncak 701 and continue to Gunung Gagak with heavy rain. Rest in  Y junction of Gunung Rembau regroup and reached Gunung Datuk about 7:12 p.m.
