Exploring Bukit Tabur East
May, 19 2012
I have hiked Bukit Tabur West with my wife someway in November last year. It was an unplanned trip and we didn't search much information from the internet before we go. Many people claimed that Bukit Tabur East would be more dangorous and more difficult to climb compare with Bukit Tabur West, In fact, the trail for Bukit Tabur East is shorter and earlier.
The starting point at the watar pipe nearby the housing area with little up hill, there will be a few ropes to assits climb to reach the first check point (Empangan Check Point). From there offer a very good view of Klang Gate Reservoir, Forest Reserve and Bukit Tabur West.
The trail after the 1st Check Point mainly exposed to sun light and go through a small forest you would reach the 2nd Check Point (R&R Check Point) which provide a very good view on both sites. Continue with little bit descend you would reach to the last Check Point (End of Tabur East). To reach the fourth peak of Bukit Tabur East, you have to climb a nearby 70% steep wall with small rope provided, I would suggest not the use it because it difficult for you to balance up your body.
Descend from the summit on forth Peak would be the most challeging part. We used the trail go through some small forest and exit beside the bungalow houses.
