Exploring Gunung Bubu
December, 28-29 2013
Mount Bubu with the height of 1657 meter located in Hutan Lipur Ulu Kenas, Kuala Kangsar. The entrance just beside the "Kem Bina Negara Ulu Kenas Kuala Kangsar". One of the famous mountain with full of leeches especially during raining session.
Although we knew this would be a tough hike for us to do it in month of December but we still proceed with it as it will be our 2013 year end closing hiking event. End up it really never disappointed us, full of leeches along the way!!! I should have called this as "Leeches Mountain".
The trail was clear enough to lead us to the destination with ribbon marker
Stage 1 : Start from B.T.N right hand side, passed by TNB hydroelectric station) until you see
a small path on your right (with ribbon marker) journey takes approx. 45 minutes
Stage 2 : Small trek to river (passed by a small stream on your right) journey takes approx 1 hour 45
minutes. There is a big campsite after the river
Stage 3 : River to Camp Garding (passed by waterfall which about 25 minutes from river) journey
takes approx 2 hours 30 minutes
Stage 4 : Camp Garding to Last Water Point (LWP) journey approx 1 hour 15 minutes
Stage 5 : LWP to Summit (We didn't reach the summit this round as we started our journey a bit late
on the second day.......I'll be BacK !!!
